The film focuses on the first skateboarding school in Afghanistan. Skateistan, set up by two Australians, engages urbanized youth with skateboarding and provides opportunities in cross-cultural interaction. Kai’s documentary highlights both the post-conflict life of Afghani youth, and the experiences of Westerners bringing action sports to a war-torn country.
