This piece really inspires. A guy takes a ride to a burger place to get his work crew lunch. Just so happens that this guy is president Obama himself. Sure, this was a staged press op. but a classy one.
The New York Times columnist, Frank Rich 5.31.09 editorial slams Dick Cheney’s recent crawl-from-the-lair revisionist history as well as the Beltway’s pathetic, Las Vegas style treatment of Obama and Cheney’s recent back-to-back appearances.
Colin Powell recently appeared on Face The Nation and stood up to his Party and the Limbaugh-Cheney hatemongers. In support of the former Secretary Of State/National Security Advisor/Four Star General/Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff and his bouts of rational discussion, a CNN poll shows that Powell’s favorable rating is currently 70% among average Americans. And despite Dick Cheney’s suggestion that Powell is not a Republican, Powell enjoys equal popularity with his detractors among the Republican ranks. Who’s out of touch Mr. Cheney?
Appearing on the May 24th broadcast of Face The Nation, Colin Powell laid out a plan to rebuild the Republican Party. If the RNC took five minutes to listen to this man they might actually appeal to a few folks. He’s a flawed messenger, but since his departure from the Bush white house he’s been willing to swim against the tide. We need a few more reasonable voices like his in the debate.
Is attempting to re-attach the nation’s economic head really a kind of Socialism? Do these folks really believe that Obama wants to own a bunch of failed banks and dying auto co’s?
Fox “news” continues to fuel the worst instincts of America i.e. the selfish inclination to blame someone else for their troubles, to demonize. Sean Hannity and Fox’s editorial team should take a moment to watch the exceptional 1987 documentary, “Faces Of The Enemy”. In this powerful piece based on Sam Keen’s book we learn how throughout history America has shamefully used fear and prejudice to dehumanize our enemie
Stephen Colbert shines a light on Glen Beck’s laughable, 9-12 “patriotism”. Beck’s wretched fear mongering and clownish “journalism” are pathetic. Watch Beck “cry” for America as he exploits a nation’s tragedy and mocks 9-11 victims.

During President Bush’s final visit to Iraq a local journalist thanked him for all he has done for the country with the traditional Iraqi Shoe toss. NASA scientists test the behavior of liquids in space. Imagine a mile wide lake floating through space? Is that possible? Very cool-odd.
While comparing President-elect Obama to Hitler and Stalinist Russia, (R) Paul Broun of Georgia claims to not be fear mongering. Perhaps he thinks he is just Cheer-Leading Fear or giving us all Fear Massages. This would be a much happier way to smearing the next U.S. President at a time of wide-spread crisis for our country. Thanks Mr. Broun for your balanced view of history and your love of America.
A last gasp strategy of the GOP attempted to frighten us about the possible majority control of a sitting president. Keith Olbermann reminds us which president last had simultaneous control of the house, senate and white house. Yup, George W. Bush, early 2001 and 2003-2006. What difference did that make? Guess it depends whose driving the boat in the storm.

Could not help myself. Though the original is actually funnier.
Sheeeeeeeesh! Bush uses the same strategy of selling a war as he does to sell his boneheaded gift to the banking industry.

Carl Rove slams Palin’s lack of experience. Oops, he was really talking about Govenor Tim Kaine of Virginia who at one point was being considered as Obama’s running mate. Yikes Mr. Rove, you are a silly man!
Once again only Jon Stewart pays enough attention to set the record straight.

What a great blog. I spend hours on the cyberspace reading blogs, about tons of different themes. I have to first of all give praise to whoever built your theme and intermediate of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an astounding article. I honestly consider there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of enlightening and quality content is definitely extremely infrequent with the massive amount of blogs on the net.
